Shwopping is a new campaign started by Marks and Spencers it has been highly advertised lately. Its about bringing an old item of clothing into an M&S store each time you come to buy something new, all you have to do is put your old items into a ‘Shwop Drop’ box and they will be found in most stores. All clothing goes to our partners Oxfam and then they either resell it in one of their stores or on their website, forward it on to those who need it in the Third World, or recycle the fibres to make new material. I feel this campaign links great to what me and the group are doing about and Beth was even in London for the opening of this and has put some amazing photos on the group blog. It shows how what we are doing now in our project is actually happening in the real world!
